An ordinary Iowa farm boy who shaped an industry

For more than forty years, Arlin Sorensen has shaped how the IT services industry thinks about community, leadership, and legacy. A self-described “ordinary Iowa farm boy,” he turned a 1982 Apple II and a habit of helping neighbors into Sorensen Computer Connection, then Heartland Technology Solutions, and ultimately HTG Peer Groups — now IT Nation Evolve. This site collects his story, his sayings, and his work, with his blessing, for the people who’ve learned from him along the way.
